About Our Business Unit
Our management structure separates Resorts from Markets. In this role, you will be part of the EAF Markets division, which oversees sales in Europe, Africa, and France across more than ten countries.
More specifically, the Northern Europe Cluster with 3 key sales markets: United Kingdom, Ireland & Nordics. Representing every resort of Club Med portfolio.
Job Overview
As a Meeting & Events Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Promoting and selling the Meetings & Events product & experience range to both existing and potential clients.
- Organising events from the point-of-sale confirmation through to the departure of the group.
- Collaborating with operational teams in our resorts to ensure seamless follow-up in the organisation
- Completing post-event administrative tasks.
You will report to the Cluster Meetings & Events and Trade Manager and be part of the Meetings & Events Department.
Key Responsibilities
DRIVE SALES FOR MEETINGS & EVENTS:
- Develop and implement a commercial plan to drive sales growth in the UK, Ireland, and Nordics markets.
- Proactively identify and pursue new corporate, affinity, and event agency clients using available tools.
- Collaborate closely with the Revenue Management and CRM teams.
- Maintain and update client information and leads in Salesforce.
- Generate reports for your N+1
- Able to follow-up reporting with your N+1
- Create tailored proposals for groups ranging from 10 to 1,000 participants.
- Respond to complex bidding opportunities.
- Negotiate with prospects and clients, and actively follow up to close deals.
- Participate in site inspections and industry fairs as required.
ENSURE SMOOTH EVENT PRODUCTION IN LINE WITH PROCESS :
- Prepare and issue sales contracts using Salesforce and Docusign.
- Send deposit invoices and follow up on payments.
- Record bookings in the internal system (NA).
- Manage event organisation with a project management approach.
- Monitor budget with the clients.
- Maintain open communication with operational teams in the resorts.
- Liaise with the transport team when necessary.
- Provide key information for the seamless handover to resorts, including:
- Internal programme details (MEGA)
- Rooming lists
- Special requests
- Other relevant information
- Travel to resorts as needed to oversee event execution.
POST-EVENT ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS:
- Issue final invoices and manage payment follow-ups.
- Conduct post-event debriefs with clients and resort teams.
- Identify actions to encourage repeat business.
Skills and Competencies Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- Proven experience in sales.
- Experience in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
- Experience in B2B negotiation is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong client focus and negotiation skills.
- Project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint is essential).
- Familiarity with NA and Salesforce is a plus (training will be provided ).
- General understanding of invoicing and contracts.
- Knowledge of Club Med's range of services and products is an asset.
Languages:
- Fluent in English (required).
- French is a plus.
