Core Responsibilities
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be at the forefront of improving our Metal AM technologies. You will be responsible for defining and conducting methodical experiments (DOE) to analyze and determine technology capabilities and optimizing the Metal AM processes and parameters to improve reliability, quality and efficiency. Your core responsibilities will also include:
• Root Cause Analysis: Engage and take the lead in systematic root causes investigations to identify and analyse the manufacturing process issues or failures and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, materials scientists and manufacturing technicians, and provide scientifically sound data to our partners and internal collaborators to improve the use of additive manufacturing solutions.
• Build Development: Support the development of test parts and build jobs for our AM technologies to investigate AM technologies, materials, and processes and improve the quality of AM produced parts.
• Applications: Engage with our application and production teams for a successful execution of pilots and demonstrators.
• Documentation & Implementation: Manage the documenting processes, procedures, and outcomes for knowledge sharing and future reference to ensure a successful handover for industrial implementation.
• Capabilities Building: Contribute to build capabilities within the LEGO Group to develop and enhance AM skills, knowledge and expertise to expand our AM program and meeting organizational goals.

Based in our office in Billund, you will join our AD&M Technology Maturing & Analytics team, which is taking promising AM technologies and processes and advancing them to a stage of high maturity and readiness for industrial implementation.
The work includes optimizing and fine-tuning the technologies, conducting extensive testing and validation, and addressing any remaining technical challenges or limitations.
We work across 3 different technologies divided between polymer and metal all of which we are constantly pushing the limits for to deliver efficiency in our supply chain and to drive the AM industry and its technologies towards true large scale manufacturing!
We are part of a bigger and diverse team focusing on the research and development of design methodologies and technologies, production technologies, materials, and applications. We are focusing on both metal and polymer AM production for different applications and with different partners.

• Good knowledge of metallurgy and materials testing
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, understand, and illustrate data
• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
• A curious approach, willingness to learn, challenge the status quo, and adapt to new technologies and processes
• Basic knowledge in computer-aided design (CAD) software to create or modify simple 3D models for testing AM technologies
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and written
• Knowledge in the field of Additive Manufacturing and Injection Mould Design is an advantage
