We are excited to announce that Alamo Drafthouse is opening its Indianapolis location in late October 2024! We are hiring for multiple positions within our Kitchen Crew, including Line Cooks and Dishwashers. Paid training and group orientation will take place the week of October 9th to prepare for the opening.
Job Description:
The Alamo Kitchen Crew (Dishwashers) are the heartbeat of our theaters. A successful Dishwasher ensures everything is in order – from prepping stations to maintaining a clean kitchen. Our Dish crew supports the team, keeping everyone safe and healthy while ensuring we have the tools to provide an awesome culinary experience to our guests.
As individual contributors who value teamwork, our Kitchen Crew puts forth their best effort daily, serving their role to create an unforgettable guest experience.

Core Role Responsibilities:
• Uphold standards of behavior per our Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines
• Maintain the highest safety standards and follow all protocols to keep teams and guests healthy
• Clean, prep, organize, and maintain kitchen and dishwashing areas
• Ensure all dishes, cutlery, and glassware are cleaned and sanitized thoroughly and efficiently
• Use tools like measuring cups/spoons, scales, etc., required by kitchen operations
• Follow cleaning schedules, prep-lists, and station stocking guides to control food waste, production, and quality
• Communicate regularly with teammates and managers
• Support the delivery of food and beverage orders as needed
Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience in a high-volume food production environment
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Schedule flexibility (early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays)
• Passion for cinema is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
• Light lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, steam, fire, noise, and cleaning solutions
• Ability to move with caution in a busy, sometimes loud, environment
