We are excited to announce that Alamo Drafthouse is opening its Indianapolis location in late October 2024! We are hiring for multiple positions, including Specialty Bartender! Paid training and group orientation will take place the week of October 9th to prepare for the opening.
Job Description
The Alamo Specialty Bartenders are masters of mixology, delighting guests with craft cocktails, freshly poured draft beer (local and craft-focused), shakes, sodas, and any other beverage ordered in the theater, while keeping safety as their primary focus. Bar Crew members are fantastic multi-taskers, thriving in fast-paced environments while maintaining a meticulous focus on detail and quality.
As individual contributors who value teamwork, our Bar Crew members deliver their best every day, contributing to an awesome beverage experience for our guests.

Core Role Responsibilities:
• Uphold standards of behavior per our Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines
• Maintain the highest safety standards and follow all protocols to keep teams and guests healthy
• Prepare guest drink tickets with a focus on safety, quality, accuracy, and efficiency
• Use tools like jiggers, spoons, and shakers required by bar operations
• Regularly communicate with teammates and managers
• Clean, prep, organize, and maintain bar areas as assigned
• Support the delivery of food and beverage orders as needed
Qualifications:
• Experience in a high-volume food production environment preferred, but not required
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Schedule flexibility (early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays)
• Comfortable wearing a cloth or face-covering when required
• Active alcohol certification (required)
• Active food handler’s certification (required)
• Passion for cinema is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
• Light lifting (up to 50 lbs) and the ability to transport kegs (up to 130 lbs)
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a dimly lit and sometimes loud environment
