We are excited to announce that Alamo Drafthouse is opening its Indianapolis location in late October 2024! We are hiring for multiple positions, including Servers & Runners! Paid training and group orientation will take place the week of October 9th to prepare for the opening.
Job Description
Our Servers & Runners will serve as the primary point of contact for our theater guests, handling check-in, helping guests find their theater, answering questions at the Concierge desk, confirming/taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and processing payments. With a laser focus on creating a world-class hospitality experience, they ensure our guests enjoy a safe, clean, and distraction-free environment. They understand the importance of being guest-focused and know that going above and beyond for our guests is at the heart of our mission.

Core Role Responsibilities:
• Maintain kindness and understanding in all guest interactions
• Organize and lead theater cleaning, ensuring each seat is sanitized before the next film
• Ensure order cards, safety, and guest needs are addressed in multiple theaters
• Manage guest orders from POS entry to delivery
• Perform assigned opening and closing duties on designated shifts
• Maintain assistive listening and close-captioned devices
• Maintain a positive, team-driven atmosphere
• Troubleshoot guest issues with the support of management
• Own the lobby and seating experience, guide guests to theaters, and manage guest flow
• Maintain knowledge of our core and limited-time-only menu offerings
• Stay informed about the films and events playing in our theaters
• Uphold world-class cleanliness standards throughout the venue
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure guest and team health
• Be responsible for guest-facing interactions and overall guest experience
• Uphold standards of behavior as defined by the company's Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant/theater environment is a plus
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Schedule flexibility (early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays)
• Passion for cinema is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
• Light lifting (up to 50 lbs) and the ability to transport items medium distances
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times during shifts
• Ability to move cautiously in busy, sometimes loud environments
• Operate POS touchscreen devices
• Ability to discreetly position oneself to stay out of guests' view in the theater
