We are excited to announce that Alamo Drafthouse is opening its Indianapolis location in late October 2024! We are hiring for multiple positions, including Concierge. Paid training and group orientation will take place the week of October 9th to prepare for the opening.
Job Description
The Concierge is a hospitality guru who is guest-focused, flexible, and knowledgeable about movies. They ensure that every guest need is taken care of, from sharing the excitement of our specialty programming to keeping our facilities in top condition. The Concierge represents Alamo Drafthouse by upholding our Core Values and ensuring every guest has an awesome experience from the moment they enter the venue until they leave the parking lot.

Core Role Responsibilities:
• Uphold standards of behavior per our Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines
• Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and professional appearance
• Greet guests upon entering and departing the venue
• Answer phones and respond to questions or direct calls as needed
• Keep managers informed of any issues and suggest alternative solutions
• Keep the lobby clean and free of clutter
• Stay updated on current and upcoming movies and special events
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concierge desk
• Keep necessary supplies stocked
• Process admission tickets and maintain a balanced cash drawer
• Assist guests with special needs, such as helping those with disabilities
• Direct guest traffic within the venue
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies
• Be a team player and assist other teammates as needed
Qualifications:
• Passion for the cinematic experience
• Ability to operate POS systems
• Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and clean frequently
• Ability to read and write in English
• Strong verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
• Light lifting and transport of items up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Comfortable operating POS touchscreen devices
• Ability to move cautiously and work in a busy/sometimes loud environment
