Job Summary:
The General Manager assumes full responsibility for the management of Sales, Plant Operations, Material Management , Sales Support and Accounting/Finance activities. He must grow the various markets such as Institutional & Industrial, Individual, and Mass Housing, Commercial, Chinese Community, and Government Projects.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all projects, negotiated and bided, and closed in Cebu, Bohol, Samar, Leyte and Negros Oriental.
- Reactivates dormant accounts, grows existing accounts and develops new customers.
- Develops good long-term relationships with owners and key officers of all key accounts and decision makers.
- Identifies project leads through subscription to information providers aside from specifiers, contractors or project owners for assignment to Sales Engineers for them to develop and negotiate for closing.
- Prepares a list of specifiers (architects and engineers), contractors, and project owners of projects and assigns to the Sales Engineers for proper coverage. The list shall be monitored and updated regularly to determine the activeness of the accounts.
- Monitors and recommends selling price to the COO
- Ensures proper and timely production of all job orders and dispatch of finished goods to customers
- Ensures adequate inventory to meet customer requirements through proper forecasting and effective inventory management
- Ensures proper and timely estimation, production, writing, preparation of quotations and contracts to meet the requirement/s of customers.
- Provides data to Marketing and Finance for them to develop pricing strategies.
- Establishes and recommends performance parameters for the Cebu Sales Engineers subject to the approval of the COO and assures achievement of the Sales Target of the Sales Team
- Recommends approval of sales contracts over his approving authority to the COO. If problems are encountered with the sales contract, he/she negotiates directly with customers in coordination with the Sales Team.
- Monitors market situation in his assigned area, including competitors activities and recommends strategies to the COO to main market dominance.
- Coordinates with the Product Specialist to ensure that all Sales Engineers are properly equipped with the skills needed to competently perform their duties and responsibilities.
- Assures that Sales Engineers maintain a high degree of integrity and honesty in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience in General Management of companies that sell Construction related materials to Architects, Developers and Contractors for various Construction Projects.
- Graduate of Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related courses from reputable universities. Post Graduate studies in Master in Business Administration Master in Business Management and other related post-graduate studies would be an advantage.
- Must possess good leadership skills and a hands-on management style.
- Must be honest and incorruptible with strong work ethics
- Must be analytical, resourceful and creative, and a self–starter.
