Core Responsibilities
- Strategy: Set direction with Customers and drive Technology Portfolio for Leadership prioritization.
- Manage and collaborate: Build strong customer relations in product development (translate their needs into the portfolio and bring in new opportunities at hance). Establish and maintain a cross functional network to support smooth integration of scouting outcomes into other business processes (E2E business understanding)
- Interpret: Appreciate and translate needs from design into goals for technical development that are compatible with manufacturing
- Ownership: Define what it means to develop new manufacturing technology for LEGO Processing in the future & lead Innovation board activities (show case)
- Disseminate: Document and communicate value, outcome and business relevance upwards. Share knowledge and future reference to ensure a successful handover to the teams responsible for maturing and scaling.
- Implementation: Build evidence and assist with business plan development. Lead the early innovation Funnel from idea to Proof of Concept

Technology Innovation & Development is a team of 24 colleagues in LEGO Processing, whose current responsibility it is, to transform moulded parts into decorated and factory assembled LEGO products. The main goal is to Innovate, develop and implement the next generation of Processing capabilities. With the intention to create more impact for the company we see a need to strengthen our innovation.
Implementing new manufacturing techniques and technologies will also support other parts of The LEGO Group to continue delivering unique world class play experiences into the market.
Do you have what it takes
The ideal candidate comes with a strong Innovation Portfolio management experience, broad experience and appreciation of manufacturing technology, and have the ability to work self-directed, take initiative and be proactive towards customers in product development
Moreover, they have:
- Direct innovation efforts towards high commercial impact.
- Experience with business development and product management
- Comfortable managing senior stakeholders
- Ability to see value in new technologies and processes, and to inspire others
- Excellent communication skills in English
It would be beneficial to have:
- Experience in driving an Innovation portfolio and align customer expectations
- Experience in team development and team dynamics - leading Innovation roadmaps
- Experience working in the area between design and technical competences
- Knowledge of scouting and innovation service providers
- Experience with consumer goods industry
The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
