Core Responsibilities
Ensure the needs of the OMP Digital Design department are met and act as a representative collaborating with the central Digital Technology Design System Team, driving consistency and scalability across all digital products within the Omnichannel, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering areas
Create high-quality, reusable components that integrate seamlessly into the design system, enhancing the overall user experience for web, mobile, etc.
Provide hands-on support and guidance to your fellow designers, ensuring effective use and governance of the design system within their projects
Evaluate design work from product teams to ensure alignment with design system standards and organizational goals
Continuously research and integrate new design practices and technologies to keep the design system innovative and competitive
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other partners to ensure design solutions meet technical and business requirements
Provide guidance and support to foster professional growth and enhance the overall design capability within the organization
Participate in strategic planning to evolve the design system and its role within the broader organizational objectives

The Sr. Digital Designer plays a pivotal role in this dynamic environment, contributing to the creation and refinement of our design system. This position is integral to ensuring consistency and excellence in visual and UI design across all digital touchpoints. By focusing on the design and development of components, the Sr. Digital Designer supports the broader organization in achieving cohesive branding and user experience, ultimately driving success in our Operations and Manufacturing areas.

The preferred candidate has several years of experience within product design, UI, and design systems, with experience in user-centric development.
Do you have what it takes?
Demonstrable experience with building a design system and UI/UX design is important
Strong expertise in UI and visual design with a proven portfolio showcasing design system components.
Strong proficiency in Figma
Experience in creating and maintaining design systems, ensuring consistency across digital platforms
Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices in digital design
An understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
Good communication, storytelling, and teamwork skills, capable of articulating design concepts and collaborating effectively with multi-functional teams.
Experience in the manufacturing or operations sector, understanding industry-specific challenges and opportunities
Familiarity with prototyping tools and techniques (digital and physical)
Working level knowledge of development languages like HTML, CSS, Swift, Android and JavaScript
Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA
Experience and familiarity with native mobile design and mental models associated with designing across browser, Progressive Web Apps and Native Apps (plus HMI’s)
Advanced English both written and verbal would be ideal as we are an internationally gathered team.
